The Maker Educator Convening is an annual gathering of maker education practitioners from all over the world, organized by Maker Ed. This year, the event will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, in collaboration with MuseumLab at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We are committed to further exploring last year’s themes—equity, accessibility, and sustainability in maker education—over two full days of sharing, collaboration, and delicious food. Maggie is a New York based visual artist and educator who has been working in maker education, learning design and creative technology for over 12 years.

She joined the Mouse team in 2011 and currently serves as the Senior Manager of Design League where she works groups with high school students to conceive of, design, and build creative technical solutions to real world problems. She also leads monthly free, open Maker events designed to introduce young people to circuitry, coding, VR/AR, cad, green technology and other STEM skills in a fun, inviting, hands-on way.
