The Maker Educator Convening is an annual gathering of maker education practitioners from all over the world, organized by Maker Ed. This year, the event will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, in collaboration with MuseumLab at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We are committed to further exploring last year’s themes—equity, accessibility, and sustainability in maker education—over two full days of sharing, collaboration, and delicious food. 2008 Graduate of Duquesne University, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Psychology and English and received master of social work (MSW) with mental health certificate from University of Pittsburgh in 2010. Worked in the mental health field for 12 years, serving as an outpatient therapist, a therapeutic staff support (TSS) worker, and a school social worker. Prior to serving as Director of Behavioral/Mental Health and Social Work Services, served as Therapeutic Programs Coordinator and Supervisor of Mental Health for the Intermediate Unit 1. Lives outside of Pittsburgh, PA with his family
