The Maker Educator Convening is an annual gathering of maker education practitioners from all over the world, organized by Maker Ed. This year, the event will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, in collaboration with MuseumLab at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We are committed to further exploring last year’s themes—equity, accessibility, and sustainability in maker education—over two full days of sharing, collaboration, and delicious food. Tim has spent 18 years in education previously at the high school level as a technology education teacher and administrator and presently serving as the STEM Center Coordinator for Northcentral Technical College. He has an extensive background in project based learning and informal educational settings. Additionally, Tim is is currently a PI on NSF's EMMET project which focuses on STEM+C education, mentoring, and expanding technology access into Rural communities.
