The Maker Educator Convening is an annual gathering of maker education practitioners from all over the world, organized by Maker Ed. This year, the event will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, in collaboration with MuseumLab at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We are committed to further exploring last year’s themes—equity, accessibility, and sustainability in maker education—over two full days of sharing, collaboration, and delicious food. We hope you will join us! To register and for more information, visit Maker Ed’s website.

Chelsea Glover

3rd grade ELA teacher
Chelsea L. Glover is a 3rd grade ELA teacher driven to educate children and inspire them to be critical thinkers with the world at their fingertips. Upon receiving her Masters in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998, Chelsea assisted in writing a Russian curriculum, conducting research, and working beside a published author. Throughout her 20 years as an educator, Chelsea also obtained certification in Instructional Technology. Understanding the importance of technology in the classroom, Chelsea has constantly found meaningful ways to infuse technology. Making learning real, relevant, and fun drives her constant search for transforming learning into life. Promoting technology doesn’t stop with her students. Chelsea ran an afterschool program for parents where they received free internet for a year and a computer upon completion. Chelsea had 100% parent participation on ClassDojo last year where she used it as a vessel to promote and enhance parent/school communication.
