The Maker Educator Convening is an annual gathering of maker education practitioners from all over the world, organized by Maker Ed. This year, the event will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, in collaboration with MuseumLab at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We are committed to further exploring last year’s themes—equity, accessibility, and sustainability in maker education—over two full days of sharing, collaboration, and delicious food. PLEASE NOTE: This session takes place at the Carnegie Science Center Fab Lab, which is a 15–20-minute walk away from Allegheny Square. If you'd like to attend this session, please pre-register at this link so that Jon knows you are coming! 

Learn how Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center has developed a way to help students who are blind or have visual disabilities, who may struggle to use computer software, still have authentic making experiences. We have also modified this to work with early learners, who also struggle to use CAD software.
