Aimee DeFoe is Principal and Maker Education Specialist at the K-8 Kentucky Avenue School in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been interested in the intersection of making and learning throughout her 20 year career in education. She has presented at the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference (2016) and Fablearn 2019. She has been interviewed for Education Dive magazine on making in education. Her interactive book project done with fourth and second graders was featured in the University of Pittsburgh School of Ed Online Magazine, and her curriculum has been featured on the Hummingbird Robotics website. She is thrilled to be presenting at the Maker Ed Convening in her hometown!
